Occasionally Men Prefer Sleep Over Sex

My biggest complaint about being a firefighter, aside from having to shower with a bunch of dudes, is that we start shift at 7 a.m. That means I have to get up before six! What kind of sadistic practice is this! I am definitely not a morning person. I cannot help it, I love to sleep.

I love sleep so much that it is not a necessity, it is a hobby. The problem is I have an equally favorite hobby:  sex -- and sometimes my two hobbies do not cohabitate very well. When it comes to choosing sex over sleep sometimes, I am torn.

Now whenever I debate this with women they always say they are convinced there are no circumstances on the planet that would cause a man to ever turn down sex. Even with me pushing my sleep fetish, they do not buy it. With their refusal to believe that men would choose sleep over sex dating - it is no wonder why so many women get upset when we do.

Need proof there is sexy woman I keep meaning to get together with, but because of our schedules, the only time we ever can is late at night during the week. There have been a couple times when I invited her over earlier in the night only to cancel a couple hours later because the Sandman sucker punched me like a ton of bricks. She did not buy it. I suddenly had to pack my bags because we were going on a guilt trip.

It is real, women. Deal with it.

The reason why women have issues when men choose sleep over sex is that they simply think you are lying. Of course, there are valid reasons for men to turn down sex, and while dating woman probably do not like it, they at least accept it.

However, when the reason is that you would rather sleep than have sex they think it is just so over the top and unfathomable that there has to be some other underlying reason. Next thing you know the issue is not adult dating sex, in her over-analytical female brain it is that you just do not want to see her, or you are not sexually into her anymore or worse yet, it means if you do not want sex from her, you must be getting it somewhere else. If it is, only that was the case.

I think the real reason why women get angry is that for the longest time they have held the market on the "sleep not sex" excuse. According to my married friends it is so common that their wives should just wear a "Not tonight, I'm tired" sign around their neck. It is frustrating but they accept it because her reasons are probably valid, like they are exhausted from chasing the kids around all day.
